Hello All:
Looking for some help. I have a CD-51BFGDAKM and I am trying to install a drive in it. I bought this at a garage sale. Anyways, I am trying to put a TOSHIBA MK6025GAS (HDD2189) its a 60GB drive. Windows XP installs to it, but the BIOS wont recognize it, and when I go to boot it says NO OPERATING SYSTEM INSTALLED. Anyone have any ideas what the issue is?
Thanks in advance.

The HD must be set to Master.
I've heard of some drives that do not set to Master even when the jumper is set right (usually no jumper). Check to see if pin 28 is ground. Both pins 26 and 30 are ground, so if 26 is not ground try putting some fine wire from 28 to either 26 or 30, then replace the HD connector and check BIOS if it shows up. -
Ok, I will give that a go. Which ground do I use. below is a list of the pinouts for the drive..
