Guys I have come across this one,i need to replace a CF 53 MK3 LED screen and ordered the normal part from Ebay only to learn the MK 3 has a 30 Pin connector where the Mk 1 or MK 2 have a 40 Pin in the line of work we are in we often have a screen issue for the latest the Tech slipped off a piece of farm machinery in the early hours of the morning elbow in the middle of the screen sure to break it. My first line of inquiry was to Panasonic major repairer in USA they wanted $300 au compared to a Screen for a MK1 and 2 at $100 on ebay. Now after a bit of reading and finding the correct acronyms it appears i have several solutions varying in price, It appears i can buy an adapter from 30 pin to 40 pin which may not fit looking at the photo unless the ribbon cable is folded. You can also buy various LVDS cables. Has anyone worked though this problem before and come up with a suitable solution which is cost effective ? Regards KelB

Okay... Forgive my ignorance here.... While I own some CF-53s... I've never had them apart. I play with the fully rugged line.

I want to say there was a similar situation with the CF-30... You needed to remove the cable from the LCD leading to the MB and swap that cable as the connector was the same on the LCD but not on the MB. Is that something that can be done?
