I have an aging CF72. The power plug socket has been repaired/re soldered 3 times so far. The adapter plug has the center post which does not nest very well with the 2 tines inside the laptop receiver. I don't understand that design.
I'm going to pickup a CF-29 from Tiger or CompUSA in the next few days.
My question is the physical difference between the 2 power supply sockets. Has anyone had difficulty with the power sockets on the CF-29 models? I hope they have been improved somewhat.
I've been unable to get a reliable battery for the CF72 and with the plug so loose it tends wiggle and shutdown when I'm out in the field and need it the most. The hdd is developing bad sectors as well. I'm assuming the drive/file system is going nuts with all the hard shutdowns.

No issues with the cf-29 power plug

    Cf-72 issues that I see
    Power plug
    Hinges
Battery (as its small capacity to start with)
