    Caddy cf-73 and\or 74

    Hi I am new to Toughbook ownership I am an experienced tech but never had toughbook I have had some Itronix and others though like that.I can't find and need a caddy for these with the connector ones for my neighbor who is low-income like myself.And the other for myself you guess which is mine hehe anyhow if anyone can give me info where to get these without paying 60 dollars or more please advise.

    Well if your looking for a deal then you better grab this one Panasonic Toughbook CF-73 Hard Drive Caddy | eBay almost $80.00 and the 74 is about $80.00 new + $25-$40 s/h from Heartland. You will not find any deals on these hard to find caddies and most of the time you will pay more than they want new on fleabay for them.
    Also if you are wanting to buy something then try posting here instead ToughBook Buy Sell and Trade Forum

    The cheapest way I have found to do it is to get a generic gel caddy and a connector for the CF-73.

    Original Panasonic Toughbook CF-73 FPC ide cable New | eBay

    Silicone Skin Case 2.5" SATA IDE HDD Hard Disk Drive | eBay

    You have to trim down the bumps in the ft of the case and have the palm rest off to install it properly.

    I never had a problem with the case trying to come out as it fits snug, but I still see this as a temporary solution as I have been slowly buying more caddy's to get all of the CF-73's I have working.

    Yes they will , I have used them in 3 of mine. Just remember to put the HDD in backwards in the silicone skin .
