Has anyone created (or is there for sale somewhere) a cable that will allow a toughbook caddy to connect to a USB or SATA port? Instead of having to take the drive out of the case one could just attach the cable and clone an os or inspect/modify the contents without having to disassemble/reassemble.They have battery chargers that connect to terminals on the battery and charge it, I wonder why there are no cables like that for the hard drive caddy? Just something I was thinking about on a friday afternoon...

I don't think so but it is an intriguing idea, I am sure some one with more knowledge will chime in soon.

I said the same thing awhile ago but yes there is. I tried to find it on here but no luck. I do know it was not cheap...there was a picture and link of it but the way I look at it ...it only takes me 5 minutes to pull a drive out of a caddy anyways so why bother spending the money. -
