ok any one got any ideas was looking at my machine last night and was wondering what that slot was under the phono jacks, tried sd to big so im guessing it was for a sim chip . my thoughts are expand slot add internal card reader and bingo but does panny make a phono plus sd for this machine like dell dose on the inspiron 1501's, oh and FYI there the same measure meants on the dell as they are on the panny but i think that the dell is MO baord built in. well any ideas any one please. That is for sim card slot. All Cf-18 has that kind of sim slot eventhough some machine has no wwan. It is just a provision. The sd slot of cf-18 will be found under PCMCIA slot and it is only available for MK4 & MK5. Sorry!

You can why not! On expansion slot there is an extra usb2.0. You can mod those pin by using usb sd card reader. Take out all the plastic housing of the usb sd card. It can also be installed on the original location under pcmcia by cutting exactly the same opening.

Just get a PCMCIA Sd card reader and stick it in the lower slot problem solved.
