I already know that it is best used as a doorstop but I'd like to make it into a working doorstop. It is already pretty clean and fires up to a blank screen which looks undamaged. I also have an extra 128 mb RAM chip for it. All I need to do now is fit a hard drive but I can't find where it should go.
I've looked online for manuals but though there are hundreds of Google results, none of them seem to have the actual manual.
All the screws are out from the underside and the battery and CD drive are on the table.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks guys.

Just a gentle bump in case the experts have now had their Anti-hang over pills.

    Hi Tomcat.
I thought of that but there's no obvious way to lift out the keyboard. No little tabs to presss or push to one side. There are two very small pointed "prongs", one on each side, which seem to be holding the keyboard in place but there's no way to shift them.
    Cheers,
    Steve

On most of the models the keyboard is removed by first taking off the hinge covers from there you lift under the keyboard center and pull back ,the keyboard releases from the side holders when enough upward force causes the keyboard to flex

On the CF-35, the hard drive caddy is on the lower right corner with the lid open. There is a cover that must be removed first, held on by a screw on the bottom, next to the memory cover. Hopefully you have the caddy. I had one of these a few years ago and set it up as a dos machine for my father who had a dos program he couldn't live without. I have a pdf of the owners manual that I found when I was setting it up.

Just read an original review for the CF-35

Review Date: 1 Aug 1997 - Price when reviewed: £3,524 inc VAT

    That's a sobering thought.

Just tried the links and not sure if they work. If not, go to www.panasonic.ca, select the English language option, click on the link to "support", then select downloads, user manuals, and in the box provided type CF35 (without any space or hyphen). This should get you to the download page for the pdf versions of the user manuals. Good luck!

    Many thanks, guys.
Those manuals will prove invaluable once I get time to work on the CF-35 (and CF-41)
I think my other half has plans for my time which will keep me busy until about March but if I get a spare hour, I'll see what I shall see.
    Again, many thanks,
    Steve
