Well finally got most of my parts in and sat down to install last night. My gobi 3000 and ram upgrades went well of course but then the fun started. I unfortunately used a mk 2 service manual since it was the only one I found that had the walk through on wrapping the cable around the hinge and a mk 6 parts diagram and it went okish.
Problems arose when I opened up the spare top. It looks exactly the same as the inside of the first one? I should have been greeted by a copper sheet heat shield right? I pulled it further apart and and there is a touch panel in front of it which is depressing, but could it possibly be dual touch? Guy I bought it from sells a lot of toughbook and he guaranteed it was a digitizer. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG]

yeah ...
most digitizers utilize a strange looking copper foil piece with a pattern to it .
it would be placed on the white portion of the lcd
