I have a cf 19 mk1 touchscreen and the screen is blank, ie only the backlight working but works when connected to an external monitor and booted up.
I have found the lcd cable on the back of the screen is bad so had a cf 18 cable to connect to it to try it but it is still the same.
When I connect the cf 18 cable to the cf 19 screen and to an old cf 18 the screen works so I know it is ok.
Is there a fuse or anything else that can affect it or is it likely the motherboard stuffed

Yep, there is a fuse near the connector on the mobo. In the schematic it is F2 with 2A. If the fuse is ok, there should be power on pin 19 and 20 at the LCD-connector. On the opposite end (Pin1-4 and 6,9,12,15,18) should be ground.

    Onirakkiss your a star. Thanks.
The fuse has blown. I have carefully probed it with 2 pins with some wires to a fuse and powered the toughbook up and the display works again with the cf 18 cable.
The cf19 cable must have shorted together .
Now I need to find someone to solder another fuse in for me. I am handy at soldering but this is beyond me and don't want to risk it. I have a dead motherboard to donor a fuse which is a good do.
    Thanks again

That's why onirakkiss is on the "Scary Smart" short list.

I don't "like" anything but I like this.

Mods this needs to be a sticky or something.

I do really need to get back on updating that with the newer models info.
