U can take a normal bluetooth-usb-stick and connect it like i had described it in an other thread on my cf-29. i did it last week with my cf-18 again. U did not explicit need an special cable to connect to cn16. all pins can soldered normaly on the board beside the connector. And thankfully u can connect the blue antennaplug with the stick-antenna. no selfmade antennacable needed. if u need pics, i can upload it here.

Could you please upoad the pics ? I noticed my CF-18 has two antennas , one on each side of the screen, i assume only one is being used for the wireless lan ?

You have 3 antennas
1 long on the side for bluetooth c/w wire ending with a electrical tape covering located near the sound card under the laptop.
1 short on one side only for wifi ,and the last long on 1 side for wan ,
Thats what I have on my mk-2 and mk-5

my cf-18 has 2 antennacables free near the audio-card.
A blue cable for the bluetooth and a brown for the EDVO-AUX-Antenna.
They are here:
As u see in the first picture, i did not use an hirose-cable like i did on my cf-29. The points on the board are big enough, to soldering directly on it. The nesseccary schematic can u find in this forum.
Like the mod on my cf-29, i also integrated a serial GPS additional to the bluetooth. Here are the pics:
first test:
ready:
Detail BT-switch-circuit (the same as i described on the cf-29):
Any questions? Hints? Tips?
PS.: In 1hour i fly to NZ. So i can not answer so fast, like u need. pls wait a moment

You must have everything but the kitchen sink in that cf-18
You got to tell me
Whats all that stuff you got in there do?
Where did you mount the gps antenna?

onirakkiss... Where did you mount the antenna?
By the way... I tried adding a USB bluetooth to CN16 directly in my CF-18 (without Darligton Circuit) and it comes up as "Unrecognized" I guess for it to work at all I would need the circuit built in? I figured that it would just stay on all the time... Then I could just click on the system tray to turn it off... It seems to know its there... It just won't load the drivers. When I plug one in the side... XP reads it great and loads everything. -
 U asking for the gps-antenna,right?
Its a small external active-gps-antenna ( http://www.made-in-china.com/showro...hina-GPS-Active-Internal-Antenna-JCN055-.html ), on the top plastic-cover of the lid in a gfk-house.
I'm not ready with this mod, i'm in new zealand again. Trying to stay here. It's a wonderfull place. If I had found a job and got a home, i will finish my projects. And i have to learn the language.... -

I've soldered one of those "mini" USB Bluetooth dongles into my CF-18.
It is perfectly usable even without connecting the CF-18 Bluetooth antenna.
It still works even when the other BT device is over 3 meters away, which is quite enough for my needs (communicate with my mobile, use a BT remote control to control a mediaplayer on the CF-18 etc).
Also, its size is a total winner for modding purposes:

However, these things are not small enough that you can close the USB port cover while one is inserted:

HTH
EDIT: I forgot to mention that they go for abour 5€ on the bay, so they are cheep to boot! -

Did u have any problems while using BT, WLAN and maybee WWAN at the same time or some other anomalies while using the BT? Normaly u should not transmit HF inside of a computer, because it can disturb ur working machine.

You make a valid point. Maybe I'll open up the BT dongle and see if I can identifiy the antenna to hook it up to the CF-18's antenna.
No problems so far tho but I don't have internal WWAN.
