Evening gents!
I was just attempting to revive my old Toughbook with a modern operating system (Windows xp pro in this case) when I ran into a small problem; the drivers were not identifying the touch screen!
I started with the default driver (cf28_mk1_xp_mouse.exe ) and followed the
setup.
When I got to windows device manger, it said the device was fine, but
I couldn't calibrate the screen.
Naturally, I thought the drivers were bad, so I downloaded the drivers from Panasonic's official site and the same thing occurred.
My last attempt involved using the ELLO touchscreen multi-pack. Once again, It Identified the touch screen (3 times?) And yet it messed up at the calibration.
Here are my specs
Windows XP Professional- 128 MB - Pentium II
1.8 GB free space.
I am not entirely sure what model this is, but I believe it might be MK-4, Seing as the Drivers didn't mess up when installed, and that was optimized for MK-4.
Any help would be appreciated

Put Windows 2000 on the CF-27. It is not nearly enough machine for XP. I used to use a lot of 27s, trust me.

The driver you need is cf27_mk3_w2k_mouse.exe.
Also here is a summary of my experiments with the different operating systems available on a CF-27.
Yes, Windows 2000 works best as long as you max out the RAM. -
Ardith111, you can have XP on a 27 but it'll crawl slowler than most snails. Max out your RAM and listen to the geezers. They KNOW what they're talking about.
