    Hi,

just joined the forum by chance, seems there are very clever ppl here,
i have a cf-28 which has windows 2000 was given to me by my work mates a year ago now came with windows 2000 cd, i only really use it is when i go camping as it is bullet proof, but starting it up yesterday it seemed very slow, so thought i'd re-install windows 2000 but cant find all the cd i have 4 missing the 2nd cd, so now have a problem, i have windows xp pro which i bought last year would i be better of installing that onto the toughbook or sticking with windows 2000, i currently dont have windows 2000 but can borrow my mates cd and install it using my product key, i also have windows me win95 and win98,
could anyone whos played about with os software on there cf-28 tell me which is the best os to go by?????

Win XP by far! If you can install Win XP you should do it. It will also speed up your system a little!

i bought it of another seller, he was selling selling 2 of them both new boxed,
both hard drive looked the same, same size, same make, so i type the model number in google and it came up as one of them was faster then the other one was 5400rpm and the other 7200rpm,
so emailed him again and offered him 40 delivered which he refused then he said reply saying £50 delivered, so after looking at the rest of his auctions i saw he was selling those 2.5 external hard drive cases with memory card readers, so i said i'll pay £50 delivered for the hard drive and hard drive case, and he agreeed..........
    another bargain am pleased about..........
