Ok i really have searched and searched and have come to no conclusions. I use class 1 bluetooth at work on a daily basis (we push the 100one meter range)but have recently had mine break and my usb ports going in and out(they get used alot). And it seems some were nade with it and it seems more rugged. I found a complete set up for a cf-30 but would it work? I cqnt find anything on that...any help? Ideas? Thanks

cf 30 probably would not swap with cf 29. Some cf 29's came with bluetooth. I have had 3. 2 I parted out the bluetooth and 1 I have in my personal cf 29. It seems to work fine. If you know what to look for, you can find them on fleabay.

Lots of guys here use the super mini usb bluetooth that will fit in the rear usb with the door closed.

Ive tried a few of the mini class 1's some of the normal size and pcmcia with lack of luck. I guess im trying to find a more reliable option that wont break lol. Ive searched flea bay with no luck yet so i guess im open to options lol.

Im a diesel mechanic and use the bluetooth to hook up to a nexiq usb link. Its nice to have a truck running out side and be in monitoring what you need to. I originally had a linksys adapter and it would reach 100m with no issues but hangin out of it on a test drive one day it broke( gotta love bumpy roads). But im not spending the $$money on another linksys. Would rather a better option if ican find one...im at a loss right now

It's not simple but, it's not as hard as it seems either.
You could get a usb 1.xx bluetooth with an external antenna connection. Or crack the case and solder one on. Then connect the bluetooth stick to an internal usb port. They are all usb 1.1. tape the stick inside the cf 29 above the battery slot. Place the antenna in the factory location which is under the cover above the keyboard.

Yes you could use that antenna. Not sure if it would affect performance or not. It depends on what frequency the antenna is tuned for vs bluetooth frequency. I say tie it in and try it. if it doesn't work then figure another antenna.

You can put a bluetooth antenna under the keyboard bezel on the left side. CF-29 bluetooth ummm engine?fits under the keyboard between the keyboard pcb and modem.
    Availability I know naught. :)
    The bluetooth antenna is tuned.
    Usually has a blue wire.
The wire is laid across under the KB bezel and I run mine under the lid that is under the KB. The weather seal will protect and seal it.
Ohlip's neighbor boomtown may have one.
I have a picture here somewhere. Edits after I feed the goats. :D

Check a CF-30 sometime and see where they put the antenna. Just to finish this out for general reference:

I was just referring to antenna placement in my last comment. Sorry for the confusion. What is shown is CF-29 OEM equipment.
I forgot the other thing others have mentioned....the brass rod on the underside of the lid would need to be removed and the hole patched. OEM 29's with bluetooth do not have it. (the brass rod gizzy)
I didn't have my head screwed on straight. Here's how it looks. Tucks in by the modem with the antenna over in it's place there. FPC goes straight down to the mobo. This is views of two MK4's.

    Have fun tinkering.
