My wireless stopped working, Bare with me as I don't know much about computers. I just turned it on and it didn't hook up to my router. The lighting bolt icon is there and says LAN on and 802.11a enabled. The wireless icon is there but has a red X as so does the local area conn. Going to the network conn. page wireless network has a red X also. Opening it up I have the option to disable it ,which I thought the X shows it in that state. I have tried to disable it , repair, connect and switching everything I can think of . The device manager says its working and enabled. but still no hookup. Its a Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2915abg Network Connection. Its running a 2005 driver that hasn't been updated and I don't have a older one to go to. It shows networks and mine also. It remembers my wpa2 key also. Windows tries to connect can't to any of them .I have done all I can . Thanks in advance for your help. Is there a switch I might have moved or a key stroke that messed me up ?

    try rebooting the router.
if that doesn't work, try disabling the password on the router and see if it hooks up then.

OK Had an old router hooked it up with no security and 29 will hook up. Tried wpa2 and it still won't, put in password manual and still no luck. Will try old router in secure mode wpa or wapa2 and see what happens. Still don't know why it won't hook up in wpa2 on first router. but something is better than nothing

Everything is good I finally rebooted the first router (as told to) and all my computers connect. I didn't think it was the router because I was using it with another computer while trying to fix the 29. This is why I don't fix computers. Thanks hopefully I won't have to come back often . But its nice to know the experts are here to help.
