    Hello everyone,
I've got a CF-31 MK3 and the battery light keeps blinking red while plugged into the wall. The weird part is it seems to be charging the batteries. I've tried multipule known good batteries/AC adapter cables but the problem persists. I've tried googling to see what the red flashing light ment but nothing I found was helpful. If anyone has some insight that would be great!

    Thanks!

Update on this: When I first plug it in, the batt. light stays on solid for about a minute, then starts to blink.

If you have tried other batteries then you should call Panasonic for service , this 31 should be still under warranty.

(posted by CHassar on 11 Oct) "I have a CF-31 and it will not display anything on the screen. I've tried an external monitor, another HDD, and google searching but nothing seems to be working. The laptop boots up (can hear the fan/HDD loading) but the screen stays blank. I don't think it is a LCD problem because it does not display on the external monitor."

If this is the same CF-31 and the screen's working now it could help someone in the future to know what the fix was.
    I'd like to know too.

Would combining these two threads be useful?

I would reset the BIOS to be sure. Pull the battery and disconnect the AC adapter. then unplug the CMOS battery. Cycle the on switch several times and then plug everything back in. If it's still under warranty, I would not go any further.

Before we throw the baby out with the bathwater... Try a few things first....

Take out the battery and unplug the laptop from the AC Adapter. Let it sit overnight. Maybe do the "reset to default" in the BIOS prior to this before letting it sit overnight.

Then try to do a battery recalibration by either going to Start/Programs/Panasonic/Battery Recalibration -OR- push the F9 button while booting up. (and follow the prompts!)

See if it will discharge and then recharge. I have seen overcharged batteries flash red too. (Though normally they flash green)

Try it out... Nothing to lose except time...

This is a different CF-31. I sent that one to Panasonic because it is still under warranty.

As for the batt issue I am having, i'm currently running the recalibration. Sadly it has been running for 19 hours 16minutes and it has been at 25% the whole time. I just have not had a chance to tinker with it more.
