    Hello all,
I have a CF-31 and it will not display anything on the screen. I've tried an external monitor, another HDD, and google searching but nothing seems to be working. The laptop boots up (can hear the fan/HDD loading) but the screen stays blank. I don't think it is a LCD problem because it does not display on the external monitor. Is there something that I am not testing or something i'm missing that I could do?

    Thanks for the assistance.

First thing to try is remove all drives and all but one memory module. Also remove any express or pcmcia cards. Then try to boot and see what happens.

It sounds like the video on the mainboard may have gone out...

Might be as simple as an internal fuse.
If you didn't buy it in this condition it may help diagnosis if you could describe what happened before and during failure.

Take out all the ram first and then installed a good known one, one slot at a time. Then power it up. One bad ram can coz this type of symptom mentioned above.
