Yep, that's why I keep hoping that someone will come up with drop in or at least simple (for me) mod based on a cheap wireless broadband card from ebay.

A good mod would work as well as the current usb, or pcmcia modems and be entirely internal except for a small antenna. Use of an external (vehicle, marine) antenna would be a real plus for those of us that don't play well with others.

I think that the reason we haven't seen movement in this direction is that most urban dwellers have access to wifi, and have no need for mobile access to the internet.

Sorry, I misread your post. The old brain housing group sometimes malfunctions.

Same response as in your other post - you just need a simple Mini-PCI wifi card and a plain old internal antenna - find one with a small paddle and you can mount it in the top part of the monitor - it will be completely internal and mine gets very good signal. I will chase down links for what I used for you - hardest part in splitting the case - little more complex than a 28 but still very doable - Also while you are modding the 72 I believe the backlit keyboard from the 28 will also work on the 72 - I will get you the links ASAP - this weekend when I have more time -
