Seriously, if I knew that panasonic is such an addictive brand I would have NEVER bought my CF29 in the first place![]()
I just found this on Obey ... right here ....
Does anyone have done some tinkering with such a device and/or is it worth the price they are asking for this one...![]()
I have done a search on this forum and did not get any results back so I thought it would be well worth posting this.

I have two. One with the numerical only keyboard with much the same specs and it has the GSM phone capability. The other is the full keyboard with the tall top cover in order to use a GPS CF card. Both are the 400MHz model with 64Mb of RAM. They are both fun to play with (I will swap my SIM card into the phone model and carry it now and then and have a GPS card coming for the other.) The price they are asking is VERY high, but not much more than most are trying to sell for. If you keep your eyes open and watch for them on Ebay, you can occasionally score a deal. I paid $125 for the one with the phone and much less for the other (thanks again Cap!)

Doesn't Rob still have one for sale?

I have one that I bought by on impulse. Silver Trooper and I were going to trade but he backed out. I unwrapped it and put it in the charger but it has never gone anywhere. It is the phone model if you want it, I will give it to you for $275.00. Other than being unwrapped, it is not used.

Just got mine in also the CF-P1. It has GPRS,WLAN and Bluetooth. Bought it new as I wanted a nice one.
The tall top cover you mentioned Silver Trooper can you put up a pic or the part number for the cover? The GPRS is ok but I want GPS so I can use it everywhere.
Am rather impressed with this unit, nice and rugged and I get alot of looks when I use it as a phone!
Would be great if we could turn this thread into a sort of tweak/mod area for the P1. -
Here is a picture of one with the cover. I do not know the part number, but have occasionally seen them on Ebay for sale, from a vendor in the UK I believe.

That one looks a little different than the one I sent you. More rounded looking.
