So I picked up a practically new cf-web2732 off fleabay for an outstanding price :D :D :D From my search on this site I see you need an Lind 1555 85 watt power supply for the dock. So I have a newbie question, is it necessary? I have an extra power supply that I can keep in the car but I'll have to plug that in separately. Or I can I just splice it and find a molex type connector and connect it on the bottom. Thanks. Ps I still need to find a Pan-cf29.

    One of these? :)

The dock takes a CF-28 type connector, so this should fill your needs:

Lind Panasonic ToughBook Auto Car Adapter PA1540-201 $19.99

    Otherwise:

    Lind DC Power Adapter - Model # PA1555-655 P $37.95

Ah, yes: tech For Less: I've done business with them before.
If you are going to use it with a CF-29 you may need one of these:

    ● BIOS Fix for USB 2.0 and Port Replicator
BIOS Upgrade for a CF-29E/F/G to support USB 2.0 when using CF-WEB2732 port replicator, and also corrects any restarting issues running Windows 2000
    29m2bl16.zip [zip, 455k]

    ● BIOS Fix for USB 2.0 and Port Replicator
BIOS Upgrade for a CF-29C/D to support USB 2.0 when using CF-WEB2732 port replicator and Smartcard running Windows XP
    29m1bl13sc.zip [zip, 437k]

I have a cf29n so bios should be good. But I'll double Check. Yeah I was reading that thread Last night  One more question the 19.99 power supply is 4amps while the other is 5 like the original adapter is that ok? Thanks again.

The 4.0 amps (max) PA1540-201 will work fine; just will take longer to recharge the battery when it's low.

Obviously, the 5.5 amps (max) PA1555-655 will charge faster, as well as work with both the dock and the CF-29 directly (when purchased as a complete assembly).

Unfortunately, the used 1555 previously noted will require the separate purchase of the MP205 cable to fit the dock, as it comes only with the 2.5 x 5.5mm cable. :(

    Another alternative here is a 5 amps (max) Lind PA1650-1253 Auto/Airline DC Adapter ( $77.03 new w/Free S/H).

And guess who the Seller of that one is? ;)

Thanks for all your help :)!!! I just found in my car an radio shack 273-1827A adjustable power supply with multiple DC adapters. One of the fit the port rep nicely. However i can either set it at 15 or 16v dc and the max amp is 3.75. what are your thoughts?

You probably already checked, but don't forget about polarity. Some of the DC plugs have the outside collar negative and others switch it to positive. Inquiring minds want to know!

I might be able to help you with that. PM me the number printed on the top of the lock cylinder if you need the key part functional.
