    HI guys !
I have looked arround and read about the buttons troubles but none match with my situation....
After 3-4 reinstall of the XP-SP3 OS I am no able to use all the shortcut buttons (keyboard or rotation not work)(there is a another button with a arrow like a diode whatever it mean)(the brightness work)(the key button works bring up the windows task manager)
I have read that is a matter of hkeyplus and ACPI/MAT0020 but ... in my device manager that not show up, not as unknown, not registred in System devices.
In system devices I can found the Hotkey Driver for Panasonic PC
Suppose to find also the Hotkey PLUS Driver for Panasonic PC... but is not found
Look like the BIOS cannot see or the OS when install is not able to see it and to bring it in device manager at least as unknown.
When I got this laptop installed this buttons were operational.... I had to wipe it because it was in a foreign language.
After system install I have few unknown but all get the right driver: wireless, meitbtn, hotkey.
There is a post on this forum that suggest a order to install and reboot.... but the hkeyplus does not record in device manager.... not even as unknown :(
I have installed the aplications for keyboard and rotation display... but they are useless without the driver hkeyplus instaled :(
How to "convince" it to show up in device manager ?! Should I install the XP TABLET SP2 ??? Think I read a post that said the buttons will not work in XP PRO.... only in TABLET version.
    Please advice :)
    Thanks a lot :)

Yes there is an order and you can get it at Panasonic driver page. Its very easy to see that you do not have all the programs and drivers installed on your 18. If I were you and I know you have heard it before but get yourself the recovery/restore disk (3 disk set) In 30 minutes you could be up and surfing NBR :D .

No ?? unless yours is a digitizer

All works in it... the DIGITIZER, the GSM/GPRS, the ALPS BlueTooth (UGX), wireless, LAN, modem, sound
    Damn buttons not :(

Yes you should install that first or like I said before try to find a restore/recovery disk for yours...the one you have will be a hard one to find.

    Hi man !
I have installed the WINDOWS XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 MSDN SP2.
I can see the tablet features (keyboard at startup, pen work from the beginning, tablet pc input panel, and all the rest specific aplications).
I still not have posibility to instal that hkeyplus driver, nobody in device manager want it. Device manager is "clean", all installed well, no any "unknown" devices.
Of course the shortcut buttons (keyboard, enter, display rotation) are not operational.
Efective the device for hkeyplus driver does not want to show off in device manager.
It can't be shut off from BIOS !! System not see see it.
The FN button are working OK, the BRIGHTNESS is working OK, even the key button bring up the task manager (like CTRL+ALT+DEL) work.
The keyboard button , the enter button, the display rotation are not going :(
Not even the power button of the wireless modem is not operational. Power on/off can be controled by the checknet program. Settings in BIOS independent/ON&OFF/onlyOFF not do much change.
Any ideea what could help ??? Reset of BIOS by unplug the BIOS BATT ? Can be this a HW problem ?
    Cheers

I believe you need to install the hotkey manager AND the hotkey appendix.
