I bookmarked this item a while ago
The issue is lack of mpci-e slots
I would help to reduce the cpu load on my cf-30 while playing blu-ray

would this fit in the pci express used by the WWAN card in a cf-19. I have never gotten a plan for it since $60 bucks a month for 5gbs sucks.

That's why I keep my at&t wireless broadband account, even though I do not use it as much now as I have in the past: "grandfathered" @ Unlimited for the same $60/month.

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and overpay for it! ;)

No, it will fit but there is most likely pins not used on the wwan cards so it most likely not be recognized
Wi-fi won't even work in a wwan slot , it's been tried before

Read the fine print. There is a star behind the "unlimited" plan. 5gb monthly. Newer plans are limited to around 2gb. I was off working with it one month and went over with my unlimited plan, there overage fees SUCK.

well, if i were to replace the internal cf 29 wifi with this and then buy a usb wireless n card i think that would be a decent upgrade. i will probably give it a go and report back.

for my cf 30 i will have to consider, if i want internal wireless n or usb hmmmm

the new version includes better support for codecs. i assume this is hardware related and not driver, so i guess i will go for the new version.

    The "fine print":

    DATACONNECT PLANS
DataConnect plans may ONLY be used with AT&T-certified LaptopConnect (PC Data) Cards and eligible AT&T-certified customer owned and maintained (COAM) devices for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access (including access to corporate intranets, email, and individual productivity applications like customer relationship management, sales force, and field service automation). If you are on a data plan that does not include a monthly megabyte allowance and additional data usage rates, the parties agree that AT&T has the right to impose additional charges if you use more than 5 gigabytes in a month. Prior to the imposition of any additional charges, AT&T shall provide you with notice and you shall have the right to terminate your service.

So far, I have never received such a notice, so ?????

BTW: the same "caveat" applies to "PDA/BLACKBERRY PLANS WITH TETHERING"

One other note: in researching my Plan I realized that my Air Force discount plan ia also applied to my DataConnect Plan: was $60/month - now: $51/month. :)

"Prior to the imposition of any additional charges, AT&T shall provide you with notice."

I never got any kind of prior notice on mine when I went over. Just the bill. Glad they finally offered DSL in my area.

dont know why i thought the cf 29 had mini pcie, it only has mini pci. i guess so much mini and pci got me confused. so unless i find a mini pcie to mini pci adapter or even a mini pcie to pcmia card it will not work.

i guess i will just use it in a netbook instead :(
