I can understand the need for a Tough cell phone... I have dropped mine, had it torn off my hip, had it fly off when running... etc. But why on earth would you want to try to hook up at dial up speed?

I have the new Motorola Droid. That along with a rubber shell holster combo and I haven't had an issue with dropping mine yet... And I download at 3G speed via Verizon using PDANet whenever I need wifi and I can't get a hotspot.

I've dropped it onto concrete, muddy ground, off the roof of my shed, countless times in parking lots... And it keeps on ticking! Plus it get reception everywhere I've gone/been.

I used to be tied to AT&T for 20 years and never realized how bad they were until I bought the iPhone. Dropped calls, terrible service coverage area and terrible customer service.

Once you go Android... You'll never want anything else!

You can't use Verizon with this phone... This phone is a GSM phone and Verizon is CDMA... simple as that. You need a GSM provider:

    Tmobile, ATT, etc...

CDMA providers like the ones below will NOT work:
Sprint, Verizon, Alltel (now part of Verizon)
