Hi guys. Love the mods you are all undertaking!! Toughbook, I read your posts, but cant figure out what kind of an antenna you are using for your internal wireless card. But anyways, I would like to change out my wrist rest plastic pieces, they are all scratched up and cruddy, have nice new ones on my parts laptop. Is it possible, or are they glued on??? Thanks guys!!

The wrist parts are backed by a super adhesive and will most likely be destroyed if you take them off. You CAN clean them. I used a citrus based cleaner (Goo-be-gone) and a TON of elbow grease and mine came back nice and shiny. It took 45 minutes of really working hard though. Your only alternative is to buy new parts and then you don't have to worry about destroying them.

The antenna I am using is a router antenna with a SMA connector. The pigtail goes from the wifi card to the wall of the laptop. (I accidentally deleted the pics I had posted.) I'll be posting several how-to's this week coming up. That may be one of them.

Toughbook is right about cleaning the parm rest, i been using my one for around a year and always thought that the parm rest for worn and thats why it felt rubbery,
then toughbook told me about cleaning it so i tried it in a little corner and straight away notice a shiny surface but then i went so mad at cleaning it i borke 2 of my keyboard buttons
so what i advice is clean it but be paitent and take ur time or you'll end up with a broken keyboard like me..... :elvis:
