So, I have the Verizon card in my CF-30. I called Verizon and they wanted $50 for 5GB

Sprint wanted $19.95 for 2GB to activate my mobile hotspot. I think their 4GB plan was $25.00.

So, what are you guys using and how much are you paying? Can these cards be "Jailbreaked" so as to allow a perhaps cheaper pre-paid service?

    McDonalds / Panera / Sheetz / etc...

I don't have a WWAN setup..I use FREE wifi access wherever I can find it.
SR71 Wifi card and external rp-sma jack to improve access.

I normally use wifi hotspots, but where that is not available and I have to get on line I use a USB tether to my adroid phone.
We have a ATT family plan that includes 10GB a month and we rarely use more then 5GB.

Yeah, I love free Wi-Fi as well, but sometimes there is none available and I really need to get on the net for something! I am looking to spend about 10-15 a month for a GB or 2.

Just not that much open wi-fi in small town rural midwest. Adding a data plan for my CF-30 to our AT&T family plane is $20 more with 4 Gig to share with the wife's smart phone. She had 2 Gig before, but never used that much. So far 4 gig is just about right. But my busy season is just starting..
