Since the economy is so lousy, many of us have become cheapskates. Also, some of us (like me) lurk here more than we contribute. Mostly this is because I only know what I have learned here anyway. All I can do is repeat someone else's advice when/if I do post.

But there are two ways us cheapskate lurkers can contribute.

    1) The rep system (which I completely forgot about) This gives well-deserved credit to those who have helped us so much.

    2) Click on those advertising links. On most web sites, click-thrus pay a small amount to the site and help support it. Lots of click-thrus add up. Plus you may just stumble across a real bargain.

Never let it be said that us cheapskate lurkers didn't do the least we could do. :D :D

I was a cheapskate long before the economy. But then again, I grew up with a strong influence from my Great Depression era grandparents. I remember watching my great grandparents save paper napkins from one meal to the next, despite the fact that they passed on an estate worth millions (even back in the 80's). They were still usable, so why buy more? Now that is cheapskate at it's finest and I consider it a proud family tradition that I am obligated to hold up. :p
