The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

This site has an active CF-72 forum, with some good info for other toughbooks and could also use your input, There is a good accessible format for accessing information without a lot of scrolling through posts. We could sure use your help on the CF-28/29 pages!

Beware of new posts linking to other sites, some contain malicious code. Not saying this one does, but you never Know.

Prudent suggestion, but the toughbook wiki page is safe. That was the first toughbook discussion group i found, actually. Not a whole lot of traffic there but a wall laid-out site.

My thoughts EXACTLY!!! Good work Zero!

Wiki is cool but this forum ROCKS! Why don't you post a link over there with a link to here?

It amazes me... When I started posting here back in May, 2007... I was the only active participant... Now look at us! When I enter the site the regular way I usually see (20+ viewing) at least! There used to be zero... Or 2 - 3

We are VERY lucky to have so many talented contributors who give their time and expertise to this community. There are no attitudes... No egos... No primadonnas... No A-holes. So... To those of you who contribute.... I just want to say....

See, I knew there was something wrong with people who wear ties.

Lol! I did post a link over there to here, Thanks guys. Your site is much more active and with many more knowledgeable contributors, but as far as getting specific information out, the wiki set up is a lot easier than wading through a million posts. Also this site is pretty CF-28-29 specific and the other site has a more active CF-72 community. As to the malicious code, well I'll just let that one lie... Gravitar I did see your old posting on the site.

Just looking for help, check out the layout. I was hoping someone here could do something like we've done for the CF-72 but for the CF-28&29s! Its got a main page with lots of pictures, info on drivers, mods etc. all easily accessible in one spot! No need to get defensive guys, I use and love both sites and have credited you all in my wifi antenna mod!

You should have seen me wearing a tie at my old job as a computer tech. That was a dumb idea having us techs wear ties though... The computers kept eating them, and printers... ack. I kept wearing my torn up ink stained tie for almost a year just to prove a point to my boss.

Now a days though, it's hard to imagine me wearing one with as rough and scruffy as I am...

Lol, the clip on for that picture was the only tie I've ever worn! Except playing around as a kid... You can't tell but he's playing solo tic tac toe!
