Be careful which one you get. I got a Sandisk 128MB/Wifi CF card for my Dell Axim, but I couldn't get the wifi part to work. A little digging through google revealed that there might be a known incompatibility between the sandisk card and the axim.

On a slightly unrelated note, but still similar... that tech manual that was linked the other day (I think klboo posted the link perhaps), and there is a schematic for a compact flash device...

Maybe there is a way to mount a flash holder inside?

I noticed there were two unusual connections on the motherboard as listed in that spec link from toughbook.wikispaces - a 'Smart Card I/F' connector(CN13) and an 'EXTROM' connector (CN19). Is one of those what you are talking about?

CN19 looks like it would be located under the touchpad, maybe a slot envisioned beside the speaker and partially hidden by the handle? CN 13 is toward the back, located near the area accesible by removing the odd shaped panel that covers the extra PCB for the emissive keyboard. (Unless I have everything twisted around. :spinny: )

It appears as though there may have been a lot of changes to the mobo, more than just 600/800/1000 mhz cpu changes. (?)
