Looking at CF-31's. I was provided with a model number by a seller and wanted to verify the options before I bought it so I tried putting it into the configurator. It says no models found. I tried to find a breakdown for the 31 but was unsuccessful. Any help would be much appreciated.
cF-31SBL141M is the model number. I know it has the 3320m but thats about it.

If it's through a reseller I'd recommend contacting them directly as to why. Do you have a link to the product page?

Beware of any with the custom BIOS. They can bite you with major features disabled.
Post a picture of the main BIOS page.

Unfortunately its an ebay auction that they use stock photos for. The price is pretty good even if it needs some repair like port covers or a battery but the custom bios does concern me a bit. Ill see if I can bother the seller for some more info.

If it's a Ebay sale then you have no guarantee what it came with is what it has now. Ebay is always a thing you want to be cautious on as far as making sure you received what was advertised.

That link is the only list of specs I could find for that particular model. Not sure if it helps any. -
I buy a lot of Toughbook stuff from ebay.
I would NEVER buy a entire Toughbook without seeing actual photos.
The only exception is if it is ridiculously cheap and parts only. And even then the seller best have 99.9% feedback or better.
I am just trying to warn you. Toughbook parts are not cheap. Buying a beater Toughbook without items such as battery, hard drive caddy, and port covers will end up costing you more in the end than buying a good complete unit.
I do ok, but I have a selection of extra parts at home.
You may get a great deal. You may not.
At the VERY least insist on a photo of the BIOS main page. If they waffle--RUN AWAY.
Another question is MAKE SURE the BIOS is unlocked. -
yeah ... i agree ...
this smacks of an "oh hell ..." in the making .
"custom bios" and "owner specific" ... good reasons to take yer hand off yer wallet .
if it were me , i would pass on this one .
as shawn said ... if it were cheap enough to simply part-out , then pull the trigger .
there are a lot of things that can be wrong with the unit ... scratches , a big gouge on the screen , etc .
if there were actual pictures of the unit showing the bios pages as well as the cosmetics of the unit , you could make a more informed choice .
someone that is honest and hip knows what information is needed to sell a unit to those that know what-the-7734 is going on .
in my book , someone that does not have enough integrity to gather the information and present it honestly and openly is not someone that i would trust .
they may not intentionally be attempting to sell you a pig-in-a-poke but it might just be what you wind up with .toughasnails and Shawn like this. -

Ended up skipping on the 31. I found a mk6 CF-19 for cheaper that is well equipped. Needs a new keyboard but that's no sweat. Ill have to deal with the smaller screen and passive cooling but I think it will work better for me in the end. Going to be my shop computer for scan tool use and wiring diagrams. Also for high performance tuning.

yeah ...
honestly , i feel that a '30 or '31 , while being darn good machines , are a tad on the bulky side in some instances .
(for example ; in the cockpit of a cessna 310)
in most cases , the smaller screen is the major trade-off .
i have used my '31 and '19 in the aforementioned cockpit as well as under-the-cowling of the twin continental 500 horse engines ...
(i was tracking the output of the generators with a recorder program)
leads were run from the outputs to the comps and were sat against front edge of the right or left landing gear .
turns out that the '19 was light enough to be moved on run-up .
(a few changes in the settings and a calibrated rock on the (now) closed lid fixed the problem)
viewing the data was easier with the '31 ( i am 60 years old and so are my eyes) .
heat was/is not an issue unless you push the units right to the edge .
my '19 did not falter while sitting on the wing on a 92F day , in direct sunlight , on the tarmac and running intensive programs .
if the cpu or video or internal temps get too high , the machine will simply "fold back" to protect itself .
