I shall put all my tough books in a sack and take them for a ten mile hike as penance for my mistake

    "I SHOULD HAVE DONE A SEARCH ..."
    as my brother-in-law says :
"i went to the bathroom and i should have made sure my pants were down ..."
it happens to the best of us .

Also with the H1 you need the dock to load a OS on it. No external USB port.

Just loaded win 7 pro on an H1 without a dock but with a cf19.
Took hdd out and used a mini adapter to connect it to the sata in the cf19.
Booted up the 19 from its boot disc and waited until it asked to remove the boot disc and restart.
Remove hdd and install back in cf h1 and start up to finish installation.
When it's finished loading everything, delete all the util folder as the drivers will be wrong.
Download the relevant driver bundle from Panasonic and run as administrator.
All works, no unknown devices, just haven't correct digitiser pen.
Only got it to see if the Wacom digitiser panel will fit a cf19 and wanted to know it it all worked ok before I cracked it open to see inside.

If you go through my route I found the screen resolution to be way off until you load the correct driver bundle.
Was trying to get my digitizer working today and balls it up, couldn't move the cursor at all so had to reload Windows. These cf h1s are hard work without a keyboard or mouse but don't want to buy a dock as I don't intend keeping it.
The one I have is a H1ADBBZCE and it doesn't have a Wacom digitizer as I found out today when I pulled it apart. Can't remember the name of it now but it explains why a cf19 pen wasn't working. The H1B has the Wacom unit, " I should have done a search " springs to mind, I thought I had , but I can only curse myself.
Luckily it is a working unit with hdd and battery so I can sell it on easily
