I have just got couple of CF-07 and wireless screen to play with. I have the main brick PC part but still waiting on the screen. I have looked at CF-08 and thinking about getting one. I see they have windows CE as a operating system but can't find much else about them on reviews. Using Google to search here i couldn't find much on them either. Can they be used as a remote display like the wireless screens on the CF-07 or do they operate only on the CE OS? Does anyone have any personal reviews of them. How do you think they compare to the CF07 setup? Thanks.

The CF-VDW07 is a wireless display, it has no internal computing capacity. The CF-08 is a stand alone computer designed to be a remote terminal. Some people don't mind the PDA operating systems like that in the CF-08, I hate them. The CF-07 is technically the brick computer usually sold with the VDW07, but they are both usable independently of the other.

They can be used as a remote display - basically the CF-08 will do IP networking itself, and has an MS remote desktop client built in.

You provide the "brick", and connect to it via MS RDP.

Good that is what i i was hopping for, dual use. I have several different ideas i have been messing around with and the CF-08 had a higher screen resolution than the screen that goes with the CF-07. Having to do a lot of reading up on networking and setting up wireless stuff. That is one of my weak points. Thank you all for your replies.
