I just ordered one of his breakout boards for internal USB and GPS. I figured it will cost me about $10.00 more to have a really nice ready made board compared to what I can create after buying all the parts.
Anyway, I have no real need for GPS, and I have a handheld unit for my truck. What else could I use the GPS port on the breakout board for? I have attached the pinouts for the GPS unit.
    Ideas?

GPS uses it as a standard serial port (rs232 type). I have asked the same question, and it's my understanding that connector is a proprietary one, that has a usable serial and usb only. not a whole lot else you could utilize it for, other than specialized dohickies... +a usb port. I have blue tooth on mine

Sorry I was not specific. I am getting a breakout board that has those serial connections routed to a standard connector. He sells them included in a kit to add GPS and Bluetooth. I am just getting the board. I have the OEM CF29 Bluetooth already.

OH, how much did he charge you for the board? I got the whole kit with the 18 or 20 channel gps for 145 shipped. Some like it, some do not. mine has done well enough for my needs.

You can't use that connector with the breakout board if you leave the oem gps in, btw.

Yes, I know about needing to disconnect the Wwan sled. No GPS for me anyway.
