    Hey guys!!

    Awhile back some were talking about the Max Load you can put into a CF-31 and one mentioned that the chip itself can take upto 32Gb of ram. 2x8Gb of DDR3L is about $100 bucks, 2x16Gb is about $300+

    Has anyone tried this out?? I'm fine with 8Gb and can wait until the price comes down but wondering if anyone has tried it or has memory they are willing to loan to try it out.

    Technically it should work, unless Panasonic has deliberately changed something. But its qualified guessing at this point. I have tried 2x16GB in a Thinkpad with the same chipset and it worked fine, and those were very early 16GB modules. They've come a long way since then.

    I will sacrifice myself here.

    If someone sends me 2 16gb chips, I will install them in my CF31S- MK3 and post the results.
    Anything to help the guys in the forum.

    I will even go as far as trying them in the CF19 mk6.

    DDR3 16GB modules are normally working in 5th and 6th Gen Intel CPUs if the BIOS has the correct registry entries. Even if the CPU knows how to work with 16GB modules the BIOS will not present it correctly to the CPU. Best case is that it will see only half of the memory and worst case it will not work at all and you cannot power on the laptop. I suggest to try it only in the case you can return it if it is not working. If you need more RAM buy a machine with 6th Gen CPU with DDR4 not DDR3 and 32GB will be much cheaper option and also faster.
