I completed my CF-30KAPAQ2B today. Everything is installed and working with the exception of the DVD Multidrive (CF-VDM302U).

It installs as a Mashi*a DVD Ram UJ841S ATA Device.

It plays DVD's but does not play CD's so I can not install some of my software that is on CD.

Does anyone know of a different driver I can use to get this to work correctly on Windows 7?

    Thanks in advance!

are you sure the drive is good? Normally you don't need to install drivers for dvd/cd drives

No clue. It plays both data and video DVD's but won't read a CD. It was listed on Ebay as a CF-30 accessory. Everything I can find on the internet about it says it was shipped with XP units and this one is Windows 7.

dvd uses a different wavelength than cd....therefore they use a separate laser for dvd and for cd....sounds like the one laser is bad.......return the drive if you can....
