    DVD on my CF-28 audio but no video ?

    Ive downloaded a decoder but all i get is sound no video ive also got the latest windows updates but still no video and yes it is dvd not jst cd .
    I have'nt done the dvd r/w hack yet but am planning to, but i should still be able to play a movie i would think ,,, any ideas ?? Its prolly something real simple that im unaware of.. Thanks for your input...

    I would download a name brand decoder/player and try again... Nero Essentials comes to mind.

    I used one from cyberlink corp , cyberlink se think it cost me $23.?? but its a no go , hate to pay for another dud. But thanks for the reply Rick..

    But the videolan worked.. Thanks for the tip gray-beard..

    There's nothing wrong with PowerDVD... but you DO have the option to install player only, CODEC only, or BOTH during install. If you didn't install the CODEC, that would account for you only having audio...

    Nero Essentials is free... I used to get a free DVD with every Samsung DVD drive I purchased. It just won't allow you to burn a DVD... But it will burn CDs...
