I read some of the posts on 12" daylight screens on the 28s. I was wondering if I should get one and try it out. Were they ever offered as an option on the 29s, and if so, are they better/improved on the 29s vs the 28s?
Are they really that bad indoors as far as the picture is concerned, or is the difference negligible? Do they work well in the brightness outdoors/sunlight? Just wondering what others have experienced with them so far. As always, any advice will be appreciated![]()

I'm pretty sure there wasn't a specific daylight screen for the CF-29, just screen size. That said, the 29 screen is vastly improved from the 28, and the 30 is about the same although the 1000nit backlight is incredible in daylight.

They did offer a 12" DL screen for the CF-29... But if you ask me... the regular 13.3" screen does just fine and is not worth what you would have to give up (color, contrast, 1024X768) in order to see "just a little better" outside. I have never had a DL screen on a CF-29... But I have seen plenty for sale. Since the 29 is so bright... It would be not worth it to me unless I was 100% outside for its whole life.

Ahh yes, I completely forgot about the 1024x768, that would limit one somewhat. Thanks TB and Canucam.
