This is probably a windows bug, but it may be CF-52 related too.

In the power management I chosen "Do nothing" on "close the lid" action. Meaning that when I close the lid the pc will not go to standby but will continue to run on normal power.

The bug is that when I open the lid again, I can no longer use FN+F1 and FN+F2 combinations. It shows the brightness icon in the middle of the screen but it's not increasing/decreasing.

Can you check on your end?

and one more thing that I found - when I close the lid, then open it, I can wait for 2 minutes when the display is set to be "turned off". Well the screen goes black, but the lights are definitely not off. The backlight is on and it's obvious. When I close the lid the backlight is off correctly.

On the cf30 guys were having display hotkey issues. If I remember correctly they uninstalled win7 drivers then installed vista drivers. A forum search should find it. I can look later on and Post it.

Nah, do a search here - in short, use the Panasonic-provided drivers, NOT Windows Update nor Intel. I had the same problem with my 30 and 19 until I used the (now I know custom) Panasonic drivers.

I had the same issue on my mk4. Also sometimes I have no display after reawake. I have to use FN-F3 to cycle trough until I see 'only monitor'. After that everything works fine.

Try installing the Vista video driver in W7... It will tell you that it is an older version but it worked for me on the CF-30.

I installed the latest (they are actually beta) drivers from the AMD website and all is solved.
