I'm sure you guys know all this, I'm just discovering the whole world of Toughbooks. But, since there are other new guys here, I'll share my findings, and ask a few questions.

There's a Panasonic application that allows quick switching of display properties. It has a toggle effect, meaning it switches between two display property settings, like "High Contrast White, Large Font" and "Windows Classic" (or something like that, I can't get it exactly right at the moment, since the computer is occupied).

There is also support for color management schemes.

My screen seems capable of pretty good appearance, but I, personally, can't improve it much with the gamma, brightness and contrast sliders.

Has anyone been able to improve things, and will you share your saved "schemes?"

    Thanks,

    jv

The Toughbooks (At least the CF-28s) have a reputation for having a "washed-out" look. Colors are not vivid and whites are not bright. It helps to have a light colored background on whatever you use... Schemes... wallpapers, etc. It makes a huge difference in perception.
