    Hi
have purchased a diy gps kit, from custom toughbooks, in the hope of fitting it to my mk3 cf-30.
unfortunatly, it dose not fit. and as i do not have any contact info for custom toughbooks, then i am hopeing he may read this and get in tough.
there is a difference between th mk1 and mk3 abd that is all i can tell you about the problem the inside of th mk3 are nothing like the insides of a mk1, i know this, as i have fitted a gps kit to a mk1 and all was well. th kit was also purchased from custom toughbooks . so, if mr custom toughbook is out there, or there is some one who cn offer a solution, then please get in touch.

the kits are a1, so no problems there.

You purchased something from his website and now don't know where his website is? I don't get it?

As far as the kits being A1... Well... That is up for debate....

    Off hand, I'd say he probably bought it off e b a Y .

Guess he could have bought this one!

And as to the web site, I guess you have to register and log in.

I.E.: Toughbook's not enthused about these.

try reading what was written, before making comments. the post was made in an attemp that custom toughbooks would read and then get in touch, also, that someone may be able to oofer a solution.

Toughbook, - have not lost anything, just looking for contact info, to which the last time i asked this question, YOU closed the thread, or had you forgotten?

    Edit
Custom Toughbooks have been in touch, problem resolved.

Good... Then the thread can be closed again.... After you respond, in all fairness. For some reason he doesn't post here.... Yet this is the most active forum that discusses his product. Which may come to an end soon.

Seems to me to be a "Tail between the legs" type thing.... He knows it is a crap product, though some have had success.

This story goes MUCH deeper than most of the regulars know.

If he were an active supporter of his product with this forum supplying him with most of his sales... You'd think he would be on here trying to help people.... Yet he stays silent. He knows he has the eBay community that can be ripped off as so many others do.

It reminds me of a government program.... The cheapest bidder gets the bid with the cheapest parts made by the cheapest Chinese manufacturer.... The parts are substandard, break often and, in my opinion as well as others, yet he will not come on the forum to offer assistance to those that have broken parts in his "kits". Now he is offering kits that do not work the the model specified in his auctions. Good luck!

To me... It all goes back to... "If you do not know how to do it yourself... You shouldn't be doing it!" Just read a little and you can install a GPS system that will blow ANYTHING out of the water!

But I am STILL baffled by the fact that you BOUGHT the product from him yet you do not know how to get in contact with the seller to communicate a problem. He must read this forum as this is where most of his sale spring from... Yet he stays silent when he sees that one of his customers has problems. What does THAT say about customer service?

Just seems to me to be yet one more reason to steer clear of this seller.
