Does someone have a night photo of a backlit chiclet (CF-53) keyboard?
I got me a cheap one and the backlight appears to be very dim.
It does work, there are 4 brightness steps and off, but quite dim.
Is this normal?

If I remember I will take a shot of my CF 31 or CF 52. I am a bit busy at the moment.
They both use the same keyboard. -

Check this picture out at the bottom of this link. It's a 29 but the same keyboard.

Thank you,
could you take a look at this picture? Does it seem too dark for you?
Photo was taken in darkness, screen showing the enter password bootscreen, screen not on full brightness, keyboard is on full brightness.
Camera focused and balanced on the black spot between keyboard and screen.
(Or should I do another pic?)

From your photo, the keyboard appears as bright as any other one I have seen.
Bright enough that you can read the keys.
Not bright enough to distract and not bright enough to attract the attention of an enemy soldier.toughasnails likes this. -
So it is normal the backlight is barely noticeable in normal light?
-
Correct.
I am currently using my CF 52 with my custom install backlit keyboard.
It only has one setting which is max brightness.
The backlighting is barely visible in normal lighting.
