Last week new drivers for practically everything appeared on the Panasonic Global site. I have a CF-53 without the touchscreen and was curious as to why Windows Updates hasn't shown any updates for the components for ages.

Despite Pana's efforts at giving you a "download basket" it still takes ages to manually run the batch file for every single package. Right ballache.

To make it worse, none of them have descriptions (yet). I have a few small niggles with things like the softkey volume control (sometimes just stops and won't let me increase above about 30%, for example - but changing with the W7 slider in the tray is fine) and wish it could switch between WLAN and wired when I dock it into the CF-VEB531, like any Dell or Lenovo I've had with a dock before.

Anyone recommend particular upgrades? Odd for drivers for every component to be published at the same time, given that most of them are native manufacturer versions.

Okay, first thing is, is it broken? If not, why upgrade? Newer does not mean better or faster..... Most MS updates catch the hardware and software needed to run your machine. Look at the info for each driver update and see what it affects..... That's a good start.... :)
