This is really weird. I got a bunch of these CF30s, model CF-30FQL55AM. I have Windows 7 Pro installed, along with all drivers.
If I "cold boot" the laptop, two drivers have the yellow exclamation mark on them -- "Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family" and "PS/2 Compatible Mouse". The device status on both says "This device cannot work properly until you restart your computer (Code 14)" ... And sure enough, a reboot and all works fine.
If I just keep rebooting, everything is fine. Soon as I power down and do a cold reboot again, I'm back to where I started. I've updated the 965 to the latest version from Intel's website.
This is a fresh install on a brand new SSD drive. For kicks, I tried it with a new 1 TB drive, fresh installed Windows 7, same thing. I tried it with a new hard drive caddy/connector, same thing.
I'm really scratching my head on this one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Use versions from Panasonic

CF30 mk3 with win7...Use 7zip to extract files from the exe and install from the extracted files.

OK, I'll give it a shot with just Windows 7 drivers for CF30 MK3 ... I've tried just using the default drivers from Windows install, MK2 drivers for vista, and then updating the display adapter drivers from Intel. I'll report back.

FWIW, I bought 100 of these laptops, all the same models. Not all of them are doing it... maybe 25% of them.

Well, I did one with Windows 7 Home, no drivers installed, just the default ones that Windows installs and the computer is fine. Going back to Windows 7 Pro and trying all the MK3 drivers as you suggested.

Welp, back to square one on this one. I had 2 computers doing it, and I thought I had it all good with my new image. Laptop #1 is flawless, never has an issue. Laptop #2 is now doing it on cold & warm reboots now. Maybe it never worked, I don't know... my brain is fried on this one. I've installed every driver for this model, nothing made a difference. I pulled the battery & DVD drive out just to cross them off the list, and nothing either. Maybe I'll try a new CMOS battery. Otherwise I'm going to install Windows 7 Home on it tonight and see if it makes a difference. This issue is so freaking odd!

I'm officially giving up unless someone here has a brilliant idea. I got the first two working, by basically un-installing and re-installing the video drivers. I rebooted each of them at least 20 times doing both cold/warm boots and they worked flawless over 3 days. However, I now have one that is just being stupid and having the same issues. I got them cheap, so I'm just going to part it out and make the best of it.

Ideas...Swap drives....I think you did this already.....

Make an Acronis backup of a working drive..You will be happy you did later on...15 minutes for a full restore.

Power pull reset on the difficult units...Drains the "stupid" out of the mainboard.

Here's a search on power pull reset...I'm currently too busy to post a how to..

Good idea on the power pull! I will try that tonight and report back... My next plan is to tear it down, along with a working one... Then just swap parts over one at a time until I figure out what it is. I just can't image having that many computers all fail at once.

Well, I finally figured this out! It is these freaking Crucial MX100 SSDs! I started loading the same laptops with 1TB and 2TB mechanical disks, and the problem went away!

Some of the laptops with MX100 SSDs would "fix" themselves after a period of time & various restart/shutdowns for no apparent reason. Other ones would never "fix" themselves... But I'm glad I solved the mystery, so I'm posting this year in case anyone else runs into this problem. I'm going back to my SanDisk SSDs now. Oh yea, Crucial can kiss my a$$.... I've spent countless hours on this friggin' problem.

Check the firmware for the SSD's that worked vs the ones that didn't work to see if it's the same or a updated firmware.

But if they came in at different times the firmware may be different from the factory.
