I hear these are no longer avaliable for 28 and CF-29s but I came across this
Hitachi Deskstarâ„¢ P7K500 250GB EIDE Hard Drive - 7200, 8MB, ATA-133 it is 2.5 so I'm wondering if it will work or is the problem the ATA-133 interface vs the travelstars ATA-6 interface , isn't ATA-6- ATA-100 the same thing and ATA-133 just the final upgrade in the PATA interface before going SATA? It would be so nice to be able to get a 7200 rpm drive again .. Is it just wishful thinking ??
Thanks to the MANY who know more than I .

SNAP IT UP MAN!!! Seriously!! Those drives are RARE and hold a HIGH $$$ amount!!! I sold a 60GB 7200 one to one of the forum members about 1 month back for $50.
That drive will work fine in the CF-29 and I think it will work up to 137GB in the CF-28 (confirm please).
Thanks! -
You will have to make the first partition less than 127 GB and it will work just fine. Then you can partition the rest to use for storage or whatever you need.

Sweet Im thinking of it for a 29 but if i can get two might add one to my 28 $ 60.00 for 250 GB. Thanks for the go ahead.

$60 is a steal deal man!

I haven't seen it but I think since its listed as a deskstar they may have wrote in the wrong size and maybe its a 3.5 and not a 2.5 , I've got a question in so we'll see.

Actually, for sure a deskstar is a desktop drive then (unless he typed it wrong)... Travelstar are the notebook drives.

Yep
well see, but the whole time I'm thinking about the old saying if it sounds to good it prolly is

Hitachi never made a 250GB IDE 2.5" hard drive to my knowledge... Only up to 100GB for mobile drives. I think you are into 3.5" territory there...

I'm probably not telling you guys on the other side of the pond anything new, but there are some new 80GB Hitachi 7200rpm drives available (check item no 350268066507) for $70 - model number HTS721080G9AT00. The seller did have some 100GB models available back in November at $80, but I don't know if he has any left.
EIDE , PATA drive ? 7200 rpm
