It's a Mk1:
CF-29CTKGZDM DESCRIPTION:
Pentium M 1.2GHz ULV (Centrino), 13.3" XGA Transmissive Touch Screen, 40GB HDD, 256 MB RAM, Floppy Disk Drive, 56K Modem, Ethernet LAN, Intel PRO Wireless LAN, Windows 2000
Kinda stout for a Mk1!
 (Especially since it's the
     Starting bid price)

That's more than I paid for my complete Mk5.
To its credit, it has had a Rubber Backlit Keyboard and DVD-CDRW added.
Be prepared to spend an additional $35-$50 for a genuine Panasonic CF-29 Series Product Recovery CD-ROM set. -

Seems to be complete and in good condition. DVD drive is a plus. Many people find the rubber keyboards are a bit hard to type with, but not hard to swap for a standard one.
Kinda depends on how high the auction price goes. I would not go much over $400 even for a complete one.
There are versions with faster CPUs available, up to 1.6GHz for a CF-29. But the newer ones (1.4GHz and faster) tend to have faulty touch screens or prone to getting one. -

Looks to be in nice shape. I don't think you will like the rubber keyboard if you type a lot. What Springfield said regarding the Touchscreen. No operating system issue to deal with (Recovery Disks). Priced a bit high. What TopCop said re: DVD if it will boot from it. And also what TopCop said re: recovery disks.
There are some very reputable folks on this forum that sell Toughbooks.

Bottom line. You NEED your first Toughbook but go slow.
Gork! As he runs recovery disks on another Mark 3. Good luck and welcome. -

Go for it, the cf-29 is a really nice laptop ,
BTW we like to make fun of the other laptops here ,so please if you know whats good for you don't mention the Toshiba again
It's not beat up , and is complete so @ $350 it's a good deal
Agree
Agree somewhat
No COA for XP , so if you decide to use restore disks you will be installing W2000
XP is the best choice
If you have a unused xp coa you will be fine -

You could shop around and get a better deal for one WITH a hard drive caddy. That plus a drive will run you at least another $100.... So then you are $450 all in. With THAT in mind... You could go more for the 1.6GHz model going for $320 on ebay.

Thanks
Tougbook
This laptop comes with all the extras CADDY w/ Hard drive and a DVD drive.
Should I ask the seller if they can install W2000 Pro on it for me? -

this ones not to bad you just need to find a optical drive

My guess he does not have it because the time it takes to put it on , 25 minutes...he would. So add $35.00 to the price for the restore disk.

This Model unit was available with XP Pro (as a CF-29CTKGZKM, that is), so the question is: "Does the Recovery CD-ROM set offer both as a choice when recovering?" -

I have a problem with this unit, as the posted Model Number (CF-29LTQGZBV) doesn't "spec out" through the Panasonic Toughbook Configurator.

A Google search only returns this Model Number in auctions from this same seller (Member ID laptops4sale2). -

Its a MK4 with:
Intel Pentium M 778 1.6GHzLV (Centrino),13.3" Touch XGA,512MB,80GB, Intel 802.11a+b+g, WIN XP SP2
, No Drive
Someone might know what the country code "V" stands for.
