Hello. I have nice emissive keyboard from CF-29MKV. This is a 3 connectors
one. Markings on the back: NZABZJ000071. I'm wandering if this board will fit CF-31. The Machine is CF-31GT2AX1M. The original plan was to get new CF-19. I was using one and the screen is just too small for me. I like the emissive keyboards. Standard ones are not working for me, as I use the Toughbooks on the boat, and they don't last. Rubber ones are hard to type on. I don't think, that this was coverd here. Regards, Voytek.

Hello. So the werdict is, that CF-29 emissive keyboard will fit CF-31. Are they two types of keyboard holding strips, like in CF-29? One for regular and emissive keyboard and one for the rubber one? I take that Rob had
rubber keyboard for his CF-31 and to fit emissive, he had to mod the keyboard? The CF-31 I'm getting has regular keyboard so it will be a straight exchange? Thank you again, regards, Voytek. -

Please read post #26 man... you really need to read more. Sorry to sound like a jerk but it's already been posted... "2) The Emmisive backlit keyboard would NOT fit until I ground down the back portion of the F11 key where the plastic sticks up because the top plastic cover thingy (which now has 3 screws instead of 4) wouldn't fit, so I had to whittle it down flush (not ugly, just dandy)"
And yes, if you have a standard keyboard then it should be an even swap without any grinding. Yes, according to my thread it came with a rubber keyboard. -

Hello. Thank you for in depht explanation (I need to be told twice). All what I needed, was a confirmation that it will be just simple, even swap. CF-31 standard keyboard for CF-29 emissive keyboard. Thank you Rob, you'r the best.

 No problem.
