Well I read and enjoyed ADORs, correction Shawn's excellent writeup  on using the Ubiquiti SR71e in the CF-30, but due to lack of the troublesome 3rd Antenna I am not so sure that I want to hop on the 802.11N bandwagon just yet.
I have a Asus RT-AC66U Router that is 802.11 A/B/G/N/AC that I got for my Birthday at home, but on the job, where I use my Toughbook(s), I want RANGE!
Anyway, I am thinking of using the old reliable 600mw Engenius emp-8602+s card in my CF-30 Mk1 over the newer Ubiquiti SR 71e! The Engenius is a Mini-PCI type III B and the Ubiquiti is a Mini-PCI type III A.
Anyone see any problems with this?![]()

cf30's are mini pci-e and the Engenius emp-8602+s is mini pci. The sr2 is also mini pci. so neither will fit a cf 30 without the help of a hammer. Please link me to Ador's thread..
The n cards will work with just 2 antennas. Just much better with a 3rd. The 3rd antenna is easy. Just pick up one of those flag antennas and stick it in the cover where the wwan sled goes.
The Ubiquiti sr71e is an n card with 2 antennas. An Intel 6300 is an n card with 3 antennas..
I have a thread on the sr 71 in my cf 30 somewhere here.......Lemme look........... -
Here is a link...

Apparently I had an Intel 6200 in there at one time. That was a decent n card for cheap...but for a cf30 the sr71e is the way to go....
PM coming for super secret source.... -
"ADORs excellent writeup"
I had a write up on this? -
Sorry, these 124 hour weeks are starting to get old, or I am... I made two mistakes here, confusing the SR71e and the SR2, and of course confusing Shawn with ADOR.
As the Chinese would say, "this has been regrettable..." -
