Ok, I searched but couldn't fine anything or maybe I wasn't using the correct search words. So here's my first question to this thread. My CF-29N I picked up on ebay comes with 30 day exchange or refund. I may have a failing inverter from what I've read and touchscreen not working correctly (keeping getting calibration error and yes i checked for cruds :D ) I spent a lot of time uploading windows 7 ultimate and all the drivers to make everything work besides graphic. Can I keep the hard drive and just swap it into a different CF-29N? Would there be conflict in the bios? Thanks!!!

It should work with no problems as long as the new box is also a N.

Now, Phil... that's a damn fine excuse for buying another and getting chin-deep into more crap! It will work. Go for it! :D

I haven't done this on a 29 but have on a 28, between a MK2 (800 mhz) and MK3 (1000 mhz). It had no problems but touchscreen calibration going between MK2, but MK2 to MK3 it booted fine, loaded windows, then a message popped up that i had the wrong driver loaded and needed to correct it. Loaded the new chipset driver and recalibrated the touchscreen with no problems.

i transferred a CF-28 MK1 400mhz to a MK3 1.0 ghz and besides a hiccup on first boot worked fine afterwords. My dad is still using it going on about a year now.
