Try right clicking my computer and select manage. Then choose disk management and see if you can see it in there.Seems like a drive letter problem to me.Not sure though.Or may be USB driver/conflict?

It might not be getting enough power thru the usb port if it is clicking.

    As james says
It is not recieving enough power
If it has an atachment to add a power supply , add a power supply
Or find a usb powered hub
And hook it up through the powered hub

Some HDs require more than the 500mA current that USB ports can give. Although the majority of 2.5" HDs are rated 5v 500mA, motors require a surge of power to start, and that's where the problem is.

Most USB enclosures I've come across have a dual-USB cable that allows you to plug into two USB ports for a combined 1A of available power, which is enough to kick start any 2.5" HD.
