Below is my adventure with FZ-M1 MK1.

Got a 2nd hand cheap FZ-M1 and spend some time to get it working correctly.

This comes with Win7 but I have upgraded it to Win10 1511(Anniversary 1607 is no where near stable so I tried it for half hour and revert to 1511).
Have to use shutup10 and disable some services as Win10 is the most unsecured Windows OS that even builds with spyware in it.

FZ-M1 by default is very easy to over heat and run into thermal throttling issue(stuck at 600Mhz and have to reboot to get CPU dynamic frequency working again)
This is probably a BIOS issue.

The reduce the heat, I have done the following things so far:
Disable the virtual stuff in CPU.
Under-volt -55mV(CPU/cache/GPU) with Intel Extreme tuning Utility. Also change turbo boost power max to 11.5W.
Enable HIPM/DIPM(AHCI Link Power Management) for SSD to reduce the SSD temperature. Use ImDisk to create 2GB dynamic RAM Disk and move temp folder to the RAM Disk.
May need to check if need to do NVAM Bios register hack later if I have time.

Got a not panasonic 4G Gobi5000 EM7355 NGFF WWAN Card(for Most Laptop) from ebay.

Any EM7355 will work as long as they were generic modules that weren't specifically manufactured for competing laptop manufacturers.

You may need to upgrade the firmware depend on your wireless carrier/service provider.
If you got a EM7355 that is not generic then you may need to change PID/VID. If you have a non-generic card and PID/VID is not 1199/9041(AT!UDINFO? //This AT command pulls up the info on VID/PID)
(This can be done through external USB adapter or another PC this is whitelist the card in the BIOS)

Do not have the service manual but I opened the thing to install the EM7355 4G card anyway.
The WWAN antenna for Aux/Diversity is gray and the main is Green.

Have to set the ID to 13 in BIOS and enable WWAN for the card to be detected by the OS.

Installed the EM7355 driver and configured it to USBCOMP 8 to have access to modem COM port.
(Win10 by default set EM7355 to MBIM - USBCOMP 9 which is no good as it does not have modem COM port).
So I can use putty to connect to Modem COM port to execute AT COMMAND.

If you don't have a active/patch antenna(the 3rd antenna connector for GPS on EM7355 is open) then you need to set/active the shared GPS/Rx diversity antenna(at!custom="gpssel",1 //AT command to Select GPS antenna) in order for EM7355 GPS to work.
Use SkyLight software for CF-20 as this one work with the USBCOMP mode I used.

Since windows 8, Microsoft screws up with planet's 99 percent of GPS hardware/software by using the somehow dirty tactic to switch to location sensor/MBIM mode without provide backward compatibility.

Couple years later, the fu_ck up situation is a little better and helped by some 3rd party software but it is still quite complicated to get old GPS or some integrated GPS working compare to old OS.
There are several 3rd party software to get older GPS software that only support NMEA COM port to work with Win10. The one I use is GnssDataInterface and Com0Com plus Franson GPSGate (GPSGate Splitter).
