In preparing to install hard drives in my 2 recently aquired CF-28's I am reminded that Panny wants you to have pre-prepared First Aid FD disks in hand when re-installing the OS.
I have a fully functional CF-27, will the First Aid disks from that machine which is also running Win 2000 work?
If not, what are my options?
Thanks in advance![]()
Sorry, don't see any way to delete the post. Answered my own question by reading a little deeper into the instructions.
Win 2K does not require a First Aid Disk.
Sorry to be a NooB!

Microsoft has app's you can download which will create 6 floppies enabling you to install the OS from a USB cdrom drive.
There is an XP and a W2K version.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I have the CD-ROM slide in to use, and the manual.
I just remember that my CF-17 had to have the FirstAid and the proprietary floppy, and the port replicator in order to re-install the OS.
As I read further, Win 2K has 2 CD's, so when one finishes, you pop the other in and don't need the floppy. -
Does anyone know how to use the FirstAid disk?
My CF-27 is having partition issues and it was recommended to use the 1st aid to correct it. I have the disk, but I don't know what I'm suppose to do with it.
Thanks
First Aid Disk
