Got mine, Mark 3, 40 GB HDD. I got a 160 Samsung, now I am told the bios limits it to 40 gigs that it'll recognize?
I read all over and never found that-- my options? it isn't an sbc or one of those- CF-29 HTM50BM.![]()

CF-29 HTM50BM - this IS an SBC one... off lease from PlanIT ROI...
It should work with a 160GB NO PROBLEM! -
Whoever told you that.... You shouldn't listen to.... You can run any size IDE hard drive in your laptop.... Up to 320GB is available!

Great- about the HDD. What is the SBC issue? I thought they didn't have "TOUGHBOOK" decal on the monitor/ mine does.
It took another 1 GB of RAM no problem.
-thanks- -
160GB, 5400 Samsung hdd works in my cf-29 mk3. Its from PlanIT ROI as well.

I have a wd 320GB Scorpio in my CF-29N. Stay away from the Brand-X sites, they will steer you wrong...
